The issue is whether the courts order that defendants lawyer produce a letter in the lawyers possession, written by defendant to a third person, violates defendants rights under OEC 503 (lawyer-client privilege) or the guarantees of Article I, section 12, of the Oregon Constitution or the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States against compelled self-incrimination. We hold that defendants argument on OEC 503 is not well taken. We hold that his constitutional privileges were not violated.
